Ladybug Girl and Bingo by David Soman and Jacky Davis

Lady Bug Girl and BingoLadybug Girl and Bingo by David Soman and Jacky Davis. Ages 2+. Dial. May 2012. 40 pages.  ISBN: 978-0803735828

The Short & Sweet:  My son loves Ladybug Girl!  (Talk about brand recognition!)  We can’t pass a Ladybug Girl book in the library without him grabbing for it.

Of all the Ladybug Girl books I’ve read to my son, this one is my favorite.  Ladybug Girl and family go camping and have adventures.  Ladybug Girl and her dog Bingo get lost, find their way back, and have a great time!  We highly recommend it.

It is a joy to read. The illustrations are (as usual) absolutely beautiful and there’s nothing I need to edit when reading it to my son.  (This is a first for the Ladybug Girl books. Usually, I feel compelled to edit a bit of the interaction between the siblings.)

We’ve read this book so many times!  My son has the entire book memorized.  It’s fun seeing him “read” it.  Boy or girl, I think anyone who reads this book will enjoy it.  This is a perfect book to read right before going on a camping trip or right before nap time.  Either way, it is fun and has inspired some great play times for my son.
